Week Update

Ahhhh....the days have passed into another week. So much has happened yet so little in our world. Friends have visited, we had two extra boys for three days which meant lots of fun, playground time & a stampede fun day, friends have left town, neices have had sleep-overs, sisters are preparing to move to my neighborhood (or very close by at least), my FH has been sick with a gastrointestinal flu, the little boys both have runny noses & the babes eyes are even running...he's just drippy. So, it's a new week with playdates to be made, friends to miss, birthdays to celebrate, a house to tidy, noses to wipe, and a trip to the "firetruckpark" to be made. Nothing exciting, just the regular business of a SAHM.
What's on your agenda?

Facial anyone?

A dear friend from high school is here taking the facial portion of an esthetics course and is in need of models. Any takers? Anyone in need of glowing skin for free? These facials take place during the day on Wed, Thurs & Fri. Allow two hours of your time. Just drop me a comment and let me know.

Happy Canada Day!

This country of ours is 141 years old. Happy Birthday to you! To us! We are blessed to live in a country that is peaceful and offers us many advantages.
This morning we attended the celebrations at Fort Calgary. The boys did so well among the crowd. R loved playing with the old fashioned toys in the interpretive centre as did W, but he really loved the huge bouncy slide. He climbed up the huge ladder, bounced on and slid down fast! I was nervous watching and thought he might get a little scared....but no! Down he went without a moment's hesitation! The petting zoo was a hit too, as was the popscicle afterwards. As the gentleman handed over the multi colored popscicle, W stated," Mom, we're having a very good day! He's happy!"
Yes, W, it is a good day. And tonight we're off to the Dawgs ballgame and then to take in the fireworks.
But now, I must go check on W as he's in the pantry (trouble!!) and it's nap time.
PS: The pantry excursion resulted in a new can of poultry seasoning being dumped on himself and the top of the garbage can. Ugh! "I'm sorry Mommy. Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" And then "That tickles. That's a funny vacuum" as I vacuumed his feet, clothes and the garbage can.

Mr & Mrs Label Maker

This long weekend, in addition to some fun, is the "taking our house back" weekend.
Re organizing.
Purging.
Labelling.
Re organizing, etc, etc.
Oh, how wonderful when all is in it's place. For all of 10 min, my sister would say, but hey! An effort is always worthwhile.
The entrance closet is in alignment...there are baskets labelled with each family member's name, the shoes are in hanging organizers, the coats on hangers, the floor can be seen and it smells like vanilla. Mmmm...it's like cookies greet you when the door is opened.
The boys' dressers have the drawers labelled as to the contents, everything is nicely folded, the diapers are in drawers too...wuhoo!!
Our closet has been redone...the polka dot boxes are labelled too.
Now it's on to the office. Whew!
Now you know the truth about us...we're geeks. Madly organizing, label maker influenced geeks.
