The Boys are outside searching for Big Foot.
For reals.

I? I am rearranging the furniture. It's been driving me bonkers ever since we moved in and has been repositioned a couple of times BUT..... I digress.

Here I am moving couches & loveseats yet again. Imagine what I could do if I owned a dolly???!!!

Style help is much needed. Pictures to come & your advise is most welcome.

Do you like change? Do you enjoy coming home to a house that is suddenly rearranged? Poor Brad! Thank the heavens he has sight!

Totem

Rhett fell in love with this totem pole at the Leighton Art Centre.

In a few months he'll be old enough to attend art classes, but until then it's Warmer's chance on his own.

Fast

Today was a fast day.
Ferrari brain with bicycle brakes, kind of day.
Struggling over printing numbers legibly. Frustration on both our parts, Warner and I, when I would erase them and demand  encourage him to reprint them properly.
Fast forward a few hours to an OT Assessment which ended in frustration because the fine motor component is hard.
Frustration due to a "Fast Engine" day. Frustration all around.
But then.
But then as we are driving west with the mountains in our view, Trace Adkins starts singing to me through the radio speakers, "You're gonna miss this." And my heart clenches.
"You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast."

And my heart is still clenched, a lump in my throat, as I sing the song with all my heart as I listen to it on my IPOD.
"It's hard to believe, you're gonna miss this."

Tooth fairy

Warner has lost three teeth in the past month. It's Smoothies for this boy!

Yes, the pic is taken in the truck as we were at the theatre when that little white fang fell out.

By the way, Wreck It Ralph is pretty cute. Rhett LOVED it. "I'm so happy Mom!!"

Love Day

Happy Valentine's Day!
These little cuties are my Valentines. Give them a "contraband" Kindersurprise Egg and in return I received umpteen hugs & kisses.
We're not big on sugar at our house so a little chocolate goes a long way. Plus lately, these boys aren't as free with H&K, unless asked, sooooo.....
Happy Valentines to me!!!

My sweet Hubs is at work but still was able to show his love from the bush.
Which was a super surprise as I was totally feeling sorry for myself that acreage living means no flower delivery! But ha to me as my sweet B prevailed!

Love Notes

Creating handmade Valentines for Rhett's teachers.

Reminds me of days gone by....
When a certain Kindred Spirit and I would spend hours....whole weekends....making love notes for our grade four boyfriends....sitting outside on a blanket, on our farm, drawing and coloring heart after heart for our 9yr old beaus.

Makes me smile.
And laugh.

Skating

It is my belief that in Canada, skating is a Life Skill. We all must know how to skate, not necessarily play in a hockey league, but at least play Shinny with your pals.

Both boys are doing pretty good for Newbies and they love it! Luckily we can walk to the lake for a skate & our village has a well maintained outdoor rink.

Warner does not love to stop. He is all about go-go-go!

Rhett is so proud that he has "learned" and is beyond thrilled when a little loop de loop does not spin him down.

Me? I hadn't skated for years & was doing great.....until I wasn't. Until I wiped out in a big way. Thankfully my ego & elbow are merely bruised, not broken.

The Hubs? He shows us all up by skating circles around us...doing crossovers....backwards.

Oh! How I love the sound of a blade cutting into the ice.
Seriously. I do.

And the sight of Brad on skates. Brings back memories of our teen years. ❤

Homemade Valentines

Valentines Day is on our mind so the boys created ones to send to their special Gram-Oh- Doe, who happens to be basking in a sunny desert.

Warner's red heart has a tasty treat tucked inside.

While Rhett's is a Kissing Hand, inspired by both Pinterest & the book.
I hope Gram loves them.....and that they arrive in one piece!

Now to decorate the mantle.

Schoolhouse Changes

.....because nothing is ever dull here.

School for the boys....especially W.....has always been one of great decisions and hope that we make the right choice.
Private Kindergarten = B+
Grade 1 Public = C
Grade 2 Private Special Needs = D

It's mid year, the beginning of the month, and a new school plan.
