Tuberous Sclerosis Free!

May is Tuberous Sclerosis month and what a wonderful way to recognize it by having W's TSC tests come back negative!
Wuhoo!
The abdominal ultrasound and MRI were both clear, with no concerns.
Such a relief.
Even though at the time, I wasn't even considering what the outcome could be. I was only thinking about how we would get through those tests with limited fear and fighting on W's part. He made it through the examinations and now he has perfect results. Yay!!

Baby Kimono

There's a sweet little boy who just joined the outside world this week. A little Irish kind of boy so a sweater is just what he needs.

I used a New Zealand wool, "Naturally Wool" and the pattern took about one skein although I was knitting off two at once. This pattern is super sweet and even faster to whip up as it uses large needles and chunky wool. My kind of knitting!

Soon there will be three other babies to be born, so I'll be creating a few more for the wee babes to snuggle into.

Siblings Sunshine Play...Slummy Style

Slummy Mummy parenting does affect offspring.
Obviously.

By the lack of hygiene skills displayed on my children's faces, it's apparent that the slumminess is in full force here.

Dirty, mucousy faces...uck!
Not to forget that Bup was outdoors playing in his dragging diaper and socks. He refused every time I offered a fresh change and I didn't feel like dealing with the wrath of an almost 2yr old who is forced into the house. Yikes! His opinion is loud and fierce at times. So, he remained outside as happy as can be. I'm sure the neighbors are pleased.

But there were rock ice cream cones to be made, slides to enjoy, rocks to gather, picnics to feast on, bikes to ride, and brothers to chase.
Welcome spring...slummy or otherwise.

The Witching Hour & therefore I Should be...

...feeding my children

....shutting off that ridiculous "Night Garden" freaky show.

....cleaning.

....entertaining my children with educational yet fun & loving games/projects or letting them entertain me with child-led play.

....dumping the Diet Coke down the kitchen- sink drain instead of gulping it down hoping it will make me a better parent.

....bright eyed and pleasant.

....applying cosmetics and fresh clothing to esthetically please my husband upon his return from a stressful day at work.

....doing 100 sit ups in under a minute to tone my deeply secret, hidden 6 pack.

....booking an All Inclusive vacation at the Alberta Health Care funded Ponoka Resort.

....sleeping through the night, meditating, and praying intensely for the mental capacity to refrain from being such a nut-bar.

.....repeating the last bullet over and over and over and over again....after all it is ...

The Witching Hour!

What would should you be doing?
