"Wake up & Shake the Glitter off Your Clothes..."

It's official...we're booked for Vegas baby!!

Thanks to the infamous Uncle B and the soon to be Auntie J, we will be spending some time in the city of lights, the city that never sleeps, the wedding capitol, etc. etc.

We're so excited to have a mini holiday...a weekender...where the palm trees sway, moving walkways take you from hotel to hotel, shopping is super, and over the top everything...not to forget the most important factor....the wedding, witnessing vows, pledging love & commitment!

Oh but we have a couple of months to wait....which is okay because there is Thanksgiving, Bare Naked Noggins and Christmas to celebrate in between time. As well as, a suitable dress for this sister-in-law to find and more importantly so fancy red shoes. I've my heart set on red sassy shoes...don't you love red shoes?! Anyway...I'm getting way off base here....

Are we taking the boys? Ack! Coughcough! NO! This is an adult only celebration...thank you Uncle B!
And thank you Grama G & cousin Shiny for staying with our little men. On that note...it'll be a little sad/nerve wracking/exciting to be away from the boys for three nights/four days...but we'll manage.
So, shake the glitter off your clothes...it's Las Vegas.

  1. So as long as everyone is fessing up, leaving your children with a trusted relative.....so liberating its sinful! You will love it. They are spreading their wings! They enjoy it and need the comfort of someone else arms once in a while. Which is why Doug and I are heading to Vegas in November and not thinking about he boys and the trauma they will have. Trauma!!!??? What trauma?, they have been known to wave goodbye, or not!, and not really notice that we are gone (this has been done before). They quite love it!

So take the guilt away now, they will have a blast without you too! Just tell them you missed them and cover them with kisses (mine hate this part and push and run away) and they will forgive you any little moments of time they may have had when they thought you left them forever!

Oh ya!, and remember to do it again, so they get used to it!

And not to leave out the parties that so graciously take our children in this time of need, they are relishing every moment and giggling with you. Just make sure she doesn't have those cheesies! Mine would be thoroughly PO'd if they didn't get them boys, to the point we might not be invited for Christmas! So thanks grandmas!

TEEHEE giggling all the way to Vegas too baby.....

We love our boys but also enjoy a night or two away every year or two... or three...

Not often, but it's quality not quantity.

  4. Yay for Vegas! Even better that your going alone with DH, you deserve it!

My hubby decided he wanted us to go alone in January. I can't wait! We've only been away once for 1 night, since we've had the kids. We are way overdue.

Oh, and you can't go wrong with red shoes! Go for it!

  5. My kids ask me to leave them with Grandma and Grandpa. Too bad the budget nor the schedule allows for it just yet. Have fun

PS Don't lose your fake ID

  6. You have to love the last to tie the knot in the family because they see the importance of a trip away sans kids!!! Brother R did that for us to the Dominican! D and I haven't been to Vegas yet...was thinking next year would be a perfect year because my sweet love turns 40! Apparently there is a fantastic shop at Vegas that has the old pin-up girl, boyfriend is a pilot, red lipstick, hard purse...style of clothing and those RED shoes you are talking about...cute heal, little chunky like they were back then. Girlfriend bought a pair there! They made the outfit for sure!
Make sure you sleep lots from now untill then so you can go hard for 4 days!!
