It's the Little Things

Today I take great pride in my oldest son. W showed such good behavior and listening skills this morning while at the chiropractor! He stayed in the treatment room and did not attempt the great escape. This isn't to say that it wasn't considered as he did reach for the door handle while looking back at me, yet when I reminded him that it was a "no-!", he backed off. Yay! He played nicely with the toys and stayed at the play area. W was super friendly to Dr. Patty and so happy to see her. Saying hi and chatting about secrets only he and Dr. Patty are privy too. He also lay on the table like an adult for his adjustment and giggled profusely. When Dr. Patty was finished with him, he climbed back up onto the table to lay down and request, "More, more." (So cute.)

Ahhhh*sigh* A potentially stressful and hectic visit was perfect. I am so pleased. Apparently, talking to W about what will happen, what the expectations and repercussions are works. Well, it worked today. Hot damn & hallelujah!

  2. Good for you. It is amazing what they can understand and the beginnings of self=-contol are all there.
