Our last camping trip of the summer was spent in the Drumheller Valley with fun friends. Despite a morning of rain and a day of shirking sleep routines we had a good weekend.
We learned this trip that camping where trees exist is such a pleasure, fireworks while camping are the "in" thing this summer, kids love, love, love the large cheesy dinosaur statues throughout the town, that some RV parks are the epitome of an adult bush party and it takes an RV park to raise a child. Thank goodness for friends who too have small children and were willing to help and laugh when it came to our child escaping, kissing the dog and their daughters, touching the woodhammer, and just general toddler antics.
Farewell to camping for another season. We look forward to next year when our children are older and we're more seasoned parents.
PS: Many thanks to the Cornbergs for the racy attire the boys are wearing.
Sounds like so much fun. This is the kind of stuff that you'll always remember. Summer vacations. And the crappy parts just make for good stories later. Remember that time......
