The Erratic Afternoon

The boys and I had a fabulous afternoon expending energy with a prairie walk to the Erratic. Of course, there was a lot of climbing. Gasping and "Get down please!" could be heard very clearly. Some other sun worshippers laughed and also encouraged a little boy to stay safe.

This child is so sure of his footing and where his body is at.
It amazes me.
I would have fallen for certain, not having near the grace or agility that W has.

Bup loved exploring as well.
He was too cute.
Running to keep up with big brother, running to escape his mother, and of course a little climbing too.
"Monkey see...Monkey Do!"

The second highlight had to be the "ikeem" from Marv's Classic Soda Shop. Very quaint, 50's style diner, with a heap of memorabilia from that era and the boys didn't touch any of it! They were extremely patient while waiting for the 70+lady in her pink, mini shirt-dress uniform and black sheer stockings with the once a week coiffed hairstyle to scoop their cones.

Spring is here and we are loving it!
The erratic outdoors, a scenic drive and "ikeem"....perfect afternoon with two perfect boys!

  1. Trevy has no fear in the climbing zone too! And for being a seizure-boy is excessively sure-footed & balanced. It's truly amazing! Some kids are born with it...

We heart "ikeem" at our place! 'Specially soft served!

Oh and last thought...I still shy away from using the word "erratic"! lol One too many misuses in my teen years! *wink*

  2. Looks like a great day!

Does Marv's have a real jukebox? I think JT needs to see the real deal so he can distinguish juicebox and jukebox, ha ha!

  3. Just looking at the wonderful day you guys had - wish I could have shared it with you all. MR R is so cute walking down the road. A priceless picture of them. As for the rock climber - I am glad I wasn't there to see it!
