Friday Night Date Night

State of Shock
Puddle of Mud
Daughtry
Nickelback
Our ears are bleeding.
Drinks & appetizers at the lounge beforehand.
Up past midnight.
Wow! Look at us having an adult night out. A singleton date night kind of night. It was fun & edgy and felt weird all at the same time. Isn't it amazing how we become acclimatized very quickly to the changes and situations in our life?
The concert was great. Better than I expected. All bands were fantastic. A little shock therapy for me as I'm so immersed in the suburban/mother/wife world that the foul language, LOUD music, odd hint of drug smoke, people watching and such was a bit shocking at the beginning of the night. Long gone are the days of rock concerts and dancing at the bar with friends. I am so out of touch....who knew that ripped shirts and teeny tiny white short-shorts were sexy & cool. (But let me add to that this disclaimer...Just because they make teeny tiny white shorts in your size does not mean you should wear them. The same goes for halter tops, tube top style dresses, and even rock concert t shirts. Not that I'm a fashionista, but I do know my limits. Anyway, enough about that.)
Favorite Husband and I had a super fun time. It totally beat staying home to watch HGTV.
