New MRI Date

We've been bumped up! Who would have thought that EVER happens? Well, I'm here to tell you it does!
For some reason, the anesthetist is unavailable now on our original appointment date so we had a choice of three times this week. Thursday it is. It'll be a week until we get the results.
In the meantime, I'm brainstorming as to how I can keep a 15 month old happy when he has been fasting for over 12 hrs. Any ideas?

We also received report on a couple of tests from the hospital stay that have come back as "normal" so that is good news. All the bood tests results are not in and won't be for at least two months as they are sent out of province for completion, to Winnipeg I think. Anyway, as we've heard before, "only time will tell."

  1. The *only time will tell* factor kills me! *sigh*

But I'll be crossing fingers & toes for you on your MRI day. Trevy's 3T MRI is scheduled for 9/24. I'm not sure if your rules are different...but here we have to stop soilds 6 hours before but can give juice all the way up til' 2 hours before? I hope juice takes the edge off...otherwise it'll be an awfully looooong drive to Boston for us!

btw...all of Trevy's abnormal activity is in his left hemi too. One neuro believes it'll show as cortical dysplasia. But...*only time will tell*...

    ugh!

  2. Poor little Bup! Can he have liquids at all?
It's encouraging to have the tests sooner and hopefully 'good' new to follow.
We're thinking of you all and keeping you in our prayers.

And how nice to have some other 'mom support' right now!

  3. It is for times like these that I am so grateful to be a Canadian. How horrible it would be if you had tobe worrying about how to pay for all of this or whether your insurance co would cover you or not on top of worrying about your little guy.

    We're praying for you.
