35 Months

"Mom, I am disappointed for you.....You cry now Mommy.Ha!Ha!Ha!"
With the age of 35months comes a sense of humor, imagination and mimicking. Apparently, the chat about being "disappointed" in W's behavior had a lasting effect. I used that word once. 1x! Maybe not the result I was looking for, but it did leave an impression.
We were at a mall playplace today after a visit to our favorite chiropractor and it was so fun & interesting to watch W interact and play with a little girl there. They got on famously and were both pretending that sharks were in the water going to eat them. They would squeal and jump into the canoe to save themselves while W pretended to row and she sang "row, row, row your boat." It's wonderful to be past the days of parallel play, pushing and shoving...well that's not completely gone but it was for the moment.
Our W continues to be an active boy and today was wanting to climb the playstructure onto the roof of the garage...."I'm just looking here." Uh, no you're not. Get down!
This high activity level can get him into trouble at times, like stitches in the back of his head while jumping on the bed and most recently "riding" the babygate down the stairs as it came out of the wall while he was swinging on it. No stitches, just tears & bruises.Thankfully, there's an angel watching over him.
Next month W is three. 3!!! We shall see what three brings us, maybe a little more of the same with an added bonus or two & three times the intensity & fun. Stay tuned....

  1. The sand looks like freckles!
Maybe you could use a tutu, or two after all...cute.
He's looking so very boyish now. Good thing you still have the wee boy fill the baby gap a bit longer. sigh.
