Boys Update...A Little Late

W - continues to make us laugh with his ideas and what he says/does. The most recent was attempting to pee on the front lawn of a friend/AVON customer. Shall we say mortified?! There I am rushing to put down Bup and catch W before he had his pants all the way down, "I want to pee in the snow!" "Nooooooo!!!"

B & I are always impressed at how bright W is. Of course we're biased. He knows his phone number and address now, thanks to his dad. And he's getting sassy...maybe thanks to me?...."You'll be in Big Trouble, Mrs!" He told me that today.

We're currently analyzing the pre-school situation and considering placing him in preschool 3 or 5 mornings per week. My head knows it would be really good for him, but my heart is sad...I feel like I'm giving him away. He's only 3! We'll see....

R - has been doing fabulously. It's like now that the seizures are under control (6 weeks yesterday since his last seizure), he can grow and develop again. He just seems to be getting taller and taller and is now 31lbs and wearing 24mths clothing size. He's also starting to pick up some words. He can say "baby" (clearly), uh-oh, a few animal sounds (moo & meow...not perfect, but they're there), Da, Ma, Norner (for W), boo, buh-bye, and is starting to sign more too such as thank you. It's coming, slowly but surely. And we finally got the call and start speech therapy next week. Yay!! Today was the Urology follow up appt and it went really well. All is as it should be in regards to his testicles, so hopefully we'll not need our Dr. C again. We're just so happy to see these positive changes. Go Bup go!

  1. Okay...so you're just thinking of it all wrong. It's not pee-ing in the snow. It's painting in the snow! You're creating a future artist! Fostering creativity! *wink*

    6 weeks is awesome. Hurray!
Why do boys need to pee on stuff?? Just because they can?
