Although we were late, Ms. Michelle let Bup have a full session. Thank you!
She is very pleased with his progress and noticed all sorts of new words today. Mommy. Fish. Stuck. He tries flowers and Kleenex although you would never know what it is....he tries though!
The drooling, mouth open issue is still an unknown. We're not sure why he keeps his mouth open %90 of the time but are investigating this further.
So, Bup's next appointment will include the OT to assess his fine motor skills. Personally, I think they're ok, it's the gross motor that seems to be a little off kilter. He's still quite uncoordinated. Maybe that's meds combined with tumour placement? I tend to think so. The future will tell us more.
Until then, we'll keep talking and repeating the proper pronunciation of words so that he hears the difference, singing, reading and playing with our Bup. His speech will explode one day, I'm sure of it! He's well on his way, our little Love-Bug.
Baby talk is the best! Specially the un-understandable kind! Hooray for Bup!

He is just a very quiet wee boy, compared to his brother. Just think of the conversations in your house when you have all three of your guys going at it! Maybe a quiet moment in the basement would be a wonderful thing!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Bup! KC has trouble talking too, but you guys are both trying so hard and it WILL come. Keep up the good work!

I think I understand E fairly well, but I'm sure not everyone does.
ReplyDeleteThey're so cute!
And before you know it, we'll be wishing they weren't talking so much ;)
