A NHL game is a major event for anyone and when you're three yrs old...well, LOOK OUT! There's preparation to be had....warning about the noise levels, the crowds, being the best listener, and of course, the treats to be had. Popsicles, popcorn, hot dogs ("I only had two bites!" To which Dad laughed because in reality W ate it all and B only had two bites!)
In spite of the loud, yelling foul mouthed lady behind them...which incidentally made W cry as he does when either team scores a goal....TOO LOUD!....W & B had a fabulous time at the game and made it through 2 1/2 periods. Which is a major coup when you're only 3 yrs old and have more energy than the Energizer Bunny.
After the game, during the truck ride home, W phoned to excitedly tell me "I went to the hockey place and I was the BEST LISTENER IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!"
These special dates are how the best memories are made. I'm so proud of those two boys and so grateful for Uncle B for providing B & W a magical Saturday afternoon.
Wow, that's fantastic! What a great way to spend an afternoon.
ReplyDeleteD has talked about taking the boys too...do you think they'd actually get nosebleeds in the nosebleed section?!
lol...headaches and achy knees for sure...acheybreaky hearts?! lol...that's brutal...my sister would love it!
ReplyDeleteToo bad it wasn't an OILER game for my special BJ!!!! And a red jacket for W too - way to go mom - you are definately a Flames fan.
ReplyDeleteWhen will we ever get you trained????
