Middle age...it's upon me. I notice it by the songs on the radio. They're REMAKES and the originals are from the time when I was a super cool (ha!) teen/young adult. Really, though it's okay to be middle aged because to live a quality life until the 80's is quite fine by me.
I used to be all sorts of things....well rested, patient, slim, big haired, nerdy (used to?), shy, etc, etc.
What about you? What did you "used to be"?
The best "used to be" story came to us this weekend about a friend of a friend of a friend...
This new pharmacist grad is employed in a position that requires him to travel to long term care centres and speak with the Residents individually about the changes in their meds. So, this handsome fella was meeting with an elderly lady "who wore so much make up that if she turned her head really fast her face would fall off".
So, he's talking away about the med changes when Ms. 80 Something interrupts to say,
"Listen, young man. In 1957, I was the best hooker in Lethbridge!"
Now, what were you the best at?
Hmm..this is a thinker...I'll have to get back to you.
ReplyDeleteBTW, the wall art is from Stampin Up :o) Fairly cheap and very easy. I think the set was just under forty bucks. Although I still think I need one more set to finish the entire wall. But it's still cheaper than re-doing a whole room!
That's hilarious! I'm sure she's fondly remembered...!!!
ReplyDeleteI used to go out and have fun and see things. And I used to have a belly button.
I used to have cute shoes.
I used to love going to movies at theaters.
I used to be more spontaneous.
ah well...
hahaha...
ReplyDeleteI have too many kids underfoot to remember what I used to be good at! lol
Although one things for sure...
there used to be LESS of me! *wink*
...danielle
How do you beat that?
ReplyDeleteI used to be hot, now I am lukewarm. Stupid gravity
I used to be a go geter
I used to be a night owl
I used to be a young married, this one snuck away.
Not sure I can top that story! That is too funny.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I used to be well rested, patient and slim . . . and then I became a mother. I wouldn't trade it for anything though.
P.S. I wanted to ask you about the Keppra. What side effects has your little guy had with taking both medicines? I worry so much about overmedicating Payten afterall she's just a baby. But we need to do something. Even after doubling the dose of Trileptal she has still had seizures everyday.
I got another one... I used to be more selfish
